Creating Competition Events

A Competition Event is a single ranked event of a specific discipline, age and gender, for example "Single Rope Speed Female 13-14 Year Old Juniors".

You can navigate to the Events page by going to the Setup/Events menu from the competition menu:

If you imported your competition data from online registration, this step is already done for you. Even if this is the case, you can still add events manually after a competition is imported then assign competitors to the team.

A new competition starts with no events and no event definitions (event types or disciplines). These are added by using the Add Event Def drop-down:

Choose an event def from the list and it will appear in the event list above with an expand (plus) button and a "Remove" button (since it has no ranking groups assigned to it). Click on the Plus (+) expand button to open this event definition:

After expanding, there is a list header with no events listed. Click the "Add Event" to start adding rankings to this event definition:

A new event box appears with drop-down boxes to specify the division, gender, and age group of the new ranking.

Each ranking must also be assigned to a session.
