# Competition Setup Checklist

This article outlines the step-by-step process of setting up a competition in scoring. Although this list may look long at first, other than data entry (which is minimal if importing from registration), these steps go quickly and this entire process can be done in a couple of hours (or less than an hour with some experience).

There are two basic scenarios for competiiton setup that share many steps:

  • Registration import: creating a competition from a registration file import
  • Creating manually: enter all team, competitor and entry data in scoring

These steps should be followed in roughly this order. Some steps require hitting refresh in the browser before continuing to reload the updated data.
